Diaper storage solutions?
I’m 34 weeks pregnant with #1 and I recently had my baby shower where I received 2 “diaper cakes” (diapers are rolled up and fashioned to look like a 3-tier cake). Previous to this, I hadn’t thought about diapers or storage (haha, I know) but now I want to disassemble these gifts and store the diapers. I don’t really want to just stack them because they’ll just fall over and I don’t have the bags they came in to shove them into. What do you use in your nursery for diaper storage? My mom wants me to get some wicker baskets for them and I’ve also seen those hanging diaper bags but I’m not in love with either of these ideas. Do you have a great organizational tool you can recommend? I’d like it to be something that is easily accessible but looks nice too. Thanks in advance for your ideas!
We used the top of a dresser with a changing pad for a change table with our daughter and plan on doing the same again with this baby. This way, we used the top drawer of the dresser for diaper storage, lotions/creams/powders, wipes and sleepers/diaper shirts. The other drawers were for extra clothes, receiving blankets, toys or whatever. We kept all her outfits hanging in the closet. Then we had the diaper Genie in the corner right beside the dresser (there is literally no smell with a diaper genie). EVERYTHING I needed was right at hand and I never had to turn my back on her to get something or take my eyes off her.
