Do you have an idea for a macaroni side dish that goes well with a 50-dinner-party theme?
We have a 50-diner themed party for my mother's great Five-oh! I'm trying to stay completely in the idea of the things that we were in the 50s, but I have this 50 pasta, I would like from a side dish to make. Of course I can do, mac & cheese or pasta salad or macaroni salad … But they were popular then? Or you have another recipe or idea? We are in Burger / Hot dogs / fries in baskets as a main course. Thank you! Johnny Marzetti is also another idea … But I'm not sure when it happened and was popular!
That's my grandma recipe for macaroni salad … INGREDIENTS 1 (16 ounce) package macaroni 2 red bell pepper, chopped 1 green bell pepper, 1 / 2 cup chopped green onions, chopped 1 stalk Celery, chopped (optional) 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 cup bring mayonnaise 1 packet dry vegetable soup mix DIRECTIONS Bring a large pot with salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook to cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water, until no longer hot. Transfer noodles to a large bowl. Stir in red peppers, green peppers, green onions, celery and olive oil. Blend in mayonnaise and soup mix. Refrigerator for a few hours before serving.
