I’ve decided to take a wack at designing gift baskets for people. I’ve always done it for friends and family and they LOVE what i create. I will have all categories from kids age 7 to grandparents. Under each category there will be subcategories…based on what their loved ones may be interested in. I will then create a gift basket chock full of goodies that coinside with what they’ve told me. Does anyone think i can make a go of this? What are your pros and cons? Please don’t be rude. And thanks for your comments.
You are going to have to address price. You will need a range of prices too. One person may want a $15 basket while another might want $50.
And I think you are goin got have to ….. narrow down a bit. you can ‘t be all things to all people. To do a NASCAR basket for one person, a flower garden based basket for another, fine wine for a third, Sponge Bob Square Pants for the next … well you are going to have a huge outlay of cash. If you have several categories such as outdoors themed, gardening themed, cooking themed, dog themed etc baskets you will be able to purchase things in bulk discount prices and save more. Do you see what I mean?
also your profit will be related to how much time you spend making the basket. Shopping for items counts as time spent on the basket. the more streamline and efficient you business the better.
