Edible Fruit Gift Baskets

Is a basket of edible treats a suitable Eid gift?

I want to give an Eid present to a Muslim co-worker (who’s a dear friend) and her family. I know that Muslims cannot have anything containing alcohol or non-halal animal products (like gelatine or lard). My friend has also found out that she’s lactose intolerant. I have started putting together a basket of food goodies – can anyone tell me if these would be acceptable (or has any other suggestions)?

sounds all pretty good to me. most muslims example from morocco love love love a type of cake i have only seen made in italian bakeries , it is layers of crispy filo dough very as long as it doesnt have the pork, enzymes or geletin or lard, animal rennet. i am not sure on the flower drink , never heard of it., just remember you dont have to go to extremes , we can eat all you eat and drink all you drink as long as it doesnt contain the animal and pork ingredients and no alcohol of course. but most muslims dont like drinks to look or resemble wine. so if the flower drink comes in a wine looking bottel as sparkling cider and most fruit juices for holidays come she probably wont drink it. trust me i love the white sparking grape from welches in the wine bottle, and my husband refuses to buy it, he had a fit when my friend gave us some cider in the fancy wine bottle . when they left he dumped it out because the bottle resembled wine. even though our friends who gave it to us were muslim and of course no alchohol.
