Gift Basket Gourmet Tea
Suggestion for Gift after Hysterectomy?
A friend of mines mother just had a complete hysterectomy, not because of cancer, because of complications with menopause. I was hoping to put together a ‘recovery’ gift basket of goodies and I’m looking for some ideas on what to put in it… like maybe a good book for someone her age or in a similar situation, or maybe something that would only be funny to someone who has had a hysterectomy.
I really have no idea other than like chocolates and gourmet tea, but I want it to be kind of special. So I’m hoping to get some feedback maybe from someone who has been in her shoes (or mine) and recieved something that touched them. Thanks for your help!
My, what a thoughtful person you are..that’s really sweet. You’ll probably get lots of suggestions. I don’t know that a book on the subject would be such a good idea since it’s so new and she may be just plain depressed and maybe feeling bad about herself and also in some pain. I think for myself I would appreciate a visit most of all with an offer of your services at any time. She may need some errands done that she can’t do, or just a nice meal being brought in for her. A nice sweet friendship card with maybe a giftcard for a day at a spa or her favorite hair salon to pamper herself when she’s feeling up to it would also be a welcome gift to me. Best wishes.
