Kids Birthday Baskets
Have you ever forgotten to put out the Easter baskets?
My son knocks on my door this morning and says “I need to show you something” And I say “Go away I’m still sleeping”…. by the way, it’s around 6:30, 7:00am. Then my husband groans and says “Did you put out the Easter stuff?” Oh no! I forgot!!! So I jump out of bed, get the baskets, and sneak past the kids’ bedroom…. let the dog out, and place the baskets on the porch. Then I yell “Did yall check the porch?? You might want to come out here!” So they run outside, see the baskets, and are happy. Disaster averted. Whew!
But I felt *really* bad about it because as I sneaked past the room, I heard my 6 year old almost crying and saying the Easter bunny didn’t bring anything….. awwwww……. Thank goodness I figured something out!
So my question is: Has this ever happened to you? What did you do when you realized that you completely forgot to wake up early and put the stuff out? Was it Easter? Christmas? A birthday? Or some other occasion?
I have never forgotten Easter baskets or presents BUT the tooth fairy has been late before lol. I had to tell my kids that because towns are so far apart where we live sometimes it takes the tooth fairy 2 nights to get here!
